As I was growing in my career, I noticed those who moved up in the company hierarchy seemed to be the ones who were the most aggressive and took the most direct control over situations. I now see that the accompanying traits I did not notice were tremendous patience and consistency.
Those who kept rising and bringing others along always had these.
Although there were instances of meteoric risers who properly and quickly diagnosed and found opportunities, it was the people who exhibited patience and consistency that brought along the most doers...purposeful doers, who wanted to accomplish and improve. I now listen to aggressive doers and try to better understand the layers of who benefits from accomplishment and success.
